Hi! Welcome to
the latest issue of
'Nita's Helping Hands'! A special welcome to our new
subscribers -- I hope this finds you all safe and well!
It's been very busy the last couple of weeks. I've started
working with a local realtor as his marketing assistant and
am learning a lot about selling houses, etc. If anyone is
looking to buy or sell in the Louisville, Kentucky and/or
Oldham County, Kentucky area, please let me know. He's a
top realtor in the area and really knows his stuff!
It's been cooling down a bit now that fall is officially
here -- and it's really nice! I can't wait until it cools
down a little more and I can open up all the windows and
let the fresh air in each day! In a few weeks the leaves
will start turning all these wonderful colors and it's so
beautiful. I know it will be throughout the United States
and many other countries, too.
Enjoy each and every day!

It's not too late to start many of your tax saving
strategies -- many strategies can be started on October
1st and kept for the remainder of the year. You then
take that times 4 to get the average for the entire year.
But you still have to know what's allowable and what's not.
And you would be pleasantly surprised to find that there
are MANY things that can be deducted!
For instance, did you know that:
if you have your own business (even part-time), but also
work outside your home, you can deduct the mileage between
your job and your place of business?
many hobbies can be classified as a business and you can
write off many expenses and save yourself thousands of
dollars in taxes each and every year?
there's a way to easily write off most any 'errand' trips
you take? Did you know you can write off much of your
vacation expenses?
you can write off many of the meals you have with
friends and acquaintances?
you can write off part of your house payment, utilities,
computer, internet service, etc.?
you can 'hire' your children to work in your business and
write off their 'allowance'?
you can write off your co-payments and out-of-pocket
medical expenses?
you can even write off entertainment expenses like golf,
parties, etc.?
Once you learn these techniques, you can also go back and
re-file your previous tax returns for the last 3 years and
get a hefty refund! And the IRS even has to pay you
interest on this money!
So, how do you learn all these easy techniques without
having to worry about losing to an IRS audit? It's very
simple actually! Just purchase this book (also comes in
a pdf e-book version for quick download, as well as a CD
version).

This book not only teaches you how to deduct all these expenses,
but tells you how to do them legally; all tax strategies are
100% IRS compliant. It will also teach you what business
entity to file as, and how you can even write off the cost of
this book!

dollars in expenses on your tax returns (and don't forget
you can go back and re-file your last 3 returns), just

There's a new scam out there and it's happening to people we
know. Read the following information and please share this
with others. There's only one way to stop these scammers --
by not falling for their scams!
Note: The callers do not ask for your card number; they
already have it. This information is worth reading. By
understanding how the VISA & MasterCard Telephone Credit
Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to protect
yourself.
An employee was called one day from "VISA", and another
was called on Thursday from "MasterCard". The scam
works like this: Person calling says, "This is (name), and
I'm calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA.
My Badge number is 12460. Your card has been flagged for
an unusual purchase pattern, and I'm calling to verify.
This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name
of bank). Did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device
for $497.99 from a Marketing company based in Arizona?"
When you say "No", the caller continues with, "Then we
will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a
company we have been watching and the charges range from
$297 to $497, just under the $500 purchase pattern that
flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit
will be sent to (gives you your address), Is that correct?"
You say "yes". The caller continues - "I will be starting
a Fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you
should call the 1-800 number listed on the back of your
card (1-800-VISA) and ask for Security. You will need
to refer to this Control Number." The caller then gives
you a 6 digit number. "Do you need me to read it again?"
Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works. The caller
then says, "I need to verify you are in possession of your
card". He'll ask you to "turn your card over and look for
some numbers". There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part
of your card number, the next 3 are the security numbers
that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are
the numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases
to prove you have the card.
The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him.
After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he'll say,
"That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card
has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your
card. Do you have any other questions?"
After you say No, the caller then thanks you and states,
Don't hesitate to call back if you do", and hangs up.
You actually say very little, and they never ask for or
tell you the card number. But after we were called one day,
we called back within 20 minutes to ask a question. Are we
glad we did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it
was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of
$497.99 was charged to our card.
Long story made short - we made a real fraud report and
closed the VISA account. VISA is reissuing us a new
number. What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number
on the back of the card. Don't give it to them. Instead,
tell them you'll call VISA or Mastercard directly for
verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us
that they will never ask for anything on the card as they
already know the information since they issued the card!
If you give the scammers your 3 digit PIN number, you
think you're receiving a credit.
However, by the time you get your statement you'll see
charges for purchases you didn't make, and by then it's
almost to late and/or more difficult to actually file a
fraud report. What makes this more remarkable is that
the next day, I got a call from a "Jason Richardson of
MasterCard" with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA
scam. This time I didn't let him finish. I hung up! We filed
a police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said
they are taking several of these reports daily! They also
urged us to tell everybody we know that this scam is
happening.
Please pass this on to all your family and friends. By
informing each other, we protect each other.
When making and saving your e-book download pages, make sure
you don't use names that are predictable. It's too easy for
amateur hackers to get in and steal your e-books.
For instance, something related to speaking for a living
might be speak4aliving.html not speaking.html.
Try to be creative but make it something that will make
sense to you because each time you add products, it can get
more and more confusing. And don't forget to keep a
notebook with your url's so you don't lose track of them!
That's all the handy tips and tricks for this issue of
'Nita's Helping Hands' -- I hope you enjoyed it and found
some useful information. As always, please e-mail me if you
ever have questions, concerns or would like me to include
information about certain topics.

I'll 'see' you in a couple weeks!
