Nita Helping Hand? was started in 2002 by me, Nita
Ammon, on a part-time
basis while working at a full-time job. After being
downsized for the fourth time in seven years, I
decided to start getting really serious -- working at it much
more, along with a few other projects.
Although I was an executive assistant and project coordinator
for many years, I was also in customer service for several
years. This included training other employees, so my
customer service skills are extremely strong.
I've been a professional proofreader for over thirteen years as
well as providing administrative and project work for over sixteen
years. I have acquired excellent contacts and references
over the years, as well as having the opportunity to refine my
skills.
When it comes to proofreading and editing, there are a
variety of types of writing. Some writing is in a very professional style, while others
are in a more conversational style and I work well with both
types. My work is guaranteed and if you're not happy with
it, it's FREE!
More About Me:
I'm the extremely proud Mother of three grown
children. I spend as much time
as I can with great groups of friends doing anything from dinner
to concerts to shopping to vacationing. I'm also
very close to my Mom, Brother and Sister and we visit each other
and vacation together as much as possible.
I'm also the
Assistant Director of the Bluegrass Independent Film Festival
(see
www.BluegrassFilmFest.com), a volunteer at the
5010th U.S. Army Reserve Unit in Louisville, a former officer of
BPW / Oldham County (Business and Professional Women of Oldham
County), as well as a volunteer for other events throughout the
year.

Here's three of us (I'm on the left) front row center at Shane Sellers' (the famous
jockey) Injured Jockey Benefit Concert in 2004. It's for a
wonderful cause, Shane is great, and it's nice meeting lots of
other jockeys -- plus Shane really is a very good singer!

A highlight of my life -- here's me with former President Bush
not long after he left office. Not only was he a wonderful
speaker, but an extremely nice man. The photographer that
was hired for the event wouldn't wait for me to arrive, but President Bush did.
It doesn't get much more gracious and down-to-earth than that!
